About Mid Cheshire SUP
Mid Cheshire SUP was established in 2012 and is an all adults club. We have our home at Winsford Marina on the banks of the River Weaver and Flashes.
We are situated right in the heart of Cheshire, giving us access to many inland enclosed waters, but also near enough to the coast and lakes of North Wales for exposed water activities.
We are based at Winsford Flash Sailing Club. A friendly, family club, located on a 90 acre lake in the picturesque area of Cheshire known as The Cheshire Broads.
Mid Cheshire SUP is an accredited school with the Academy of Surfing Instructors (ASI) who created the Stand Up Paddle School Accreditation Scheme and Regulations to provide assurances to the general public about the safety of the stand up paddle school. Members can enjoy the activities and not be exposed to risks of injury. The ASI Stand Up Paddle School (SUP) Regulations provide a clear set of guidelines to operate to the highest international industry standards. Our members can be assured activities will be safe and appropriate to their level of ability and skill.
Having this accolade ensures that all our instructors are qualified and that the club meets the benchmark of this worldwide organisation. As a training school we offer all our members a SUP WISE qualification, ensuring all our members are equipped and prepared to venture out onto the rivers safely.
We also offer our members a variety of activities including SUP yoga, polo, tours and camps. The club has grown throughout this time and has established itself as one of the largest SUP club’s in the NorthWest of England. Mid Cheshire SUP has a strong ethical link to the River Weaver and has adopted the river in partnership with the Canal and River Trust, allowing our members to be custodians of two miles of river in managing environmental and conservation initiatives. This has been acknowledged by our local communities and town council when we were recognised and awarded the towns honours.
The river Weaver and Winsford Flash provides leisure and water based activities in a friendly atmosphere with a focus on fun.
